The Qatar-based news broadcaster Al Jazeera says they were able to defend all continual hacking attempts over recent days. As per the news broadcaster company, the hacking attempts aimed at gaining access, disrupting, and controlling some of its news broadcasting platforms including the websites.

According to a report from Al Jazeera, the hacking attempts were made between June 5 and June 8. Additionally, the report further mentions that the majority of cyber attacks were witnessed on the evening of June 6. That is just before broadcasting In the Grip of the Resistance. It is an episode of Ma Khafia Atham (What is Hidden is Greater), a documentary series.

It is worth noting that Al Jazeera launched its first broadcast from Doha in 1996 as an Arabic-language satellite channel. Since then the news broadcasting company has built up into a media network with several channels. That includes television channels and websites besides other digital platforms in multiple languages.
